Aquila is a very sweet, low-maintenance dog. Due to her age, she isn't super high energy, but despite her age, she is in fantastic health. She loves cats but her excitement can be intimidating to them (barking, whining, no aggression). We were told she is dog reactive/aggressive (not tested extensively, but hackles rise when seeing neighbors walking dogs). She loves adults and kids alike, but has knocked little ones over in her excitement (again, no aggression). We believe she is part Husky- she can be loud and dramatic like one, but not super frequently. She throws Husky-like tantrums when brushed, but does not get aggressive or bite. She's perfectly bathroom trained and eats senior dog food to support her joint health. She's on no medications and showing no signs of health deterioration yet, though she is getting pretty old. We took her in to prevent her euthanasia about 2-3 months ago, and the prior owners had her for ~4 years. Before this they stated she was severely neglected. She's a bit anxious if couped up alone for long stints and wouldn't do well in a cramped apartment, but does fine if people are around. We are unable to keep her and will have to either surrender or euthanize her if she is t not adopted soon. Her dog reactivity and she would make shelter life and adopting out challenging for her.
