About Ollie

Meet Ollie! (formerly known as Mesa) Ollie is a 1.5-year-old, 45-50-pound sweetheart who has it all-goofy, affectionate, social, and smart as can be. While we can't confirm his exact breed without a DNA test, he appears to be a bully mix-but please don't let that label fool you. Ollie is a total lovebug who breaks every stereotype with his gentle nature and snuggly personality. Ollie's journey began when he was found as a stray in Texas in March 2025. He was fortunate to land a spot in a twelve-week training program at Starmark Academy, where he learned an impressive variety of skills. After graduating, he faced the risk of returning to an overcrowded shelter where his life could have been in danger. Thankfully, one of his trainers stepped up and fostered him, giving him the chance to continue learning and growing in a home environment. He has been thriving ever since and is now living in Montana while he waits patiently for his forever family. Ollie is a huge sweetheart. He's a little guy with a big heart who loves nothing more than being cuddled and loved on. The simple things make him happiest-snuggles and outside time. He also loves going on walks, keeping a good pace while stopping to smell the flowers (and bushes). Ollie plays well with other dogs and weighs about 37-42 pounds. His training includes: Sit (duration: 1 minute) Down (duration: 3 minutes) Place (duration: 5 minutes) Come from 15 feet on leash Paw, Spin, Turn, Target, Touch, Tug Automatic sits when heeling Automatic sits with door manners Send to Crate Agility skills: frame, tunnel, walk, jump, hoop, and place While we aren't sure how he does with cats or kids yet, we do know that Ollie loves toys! His favorite might be a ball, but it's just as adorable watching him tote around a stuffed animal half his size. He's toy- and treat-motivated, and he lights up with praise from his handler. Areas he's still working on: Ollie can get a little jumpy when he's overly excited, but once he's out of a kennel system and gets more exercise, this should improve as he finds balance and peace. The home we hope for him: Ideally, a place with a yard where he can run-or someone who enjoys walks and wants a cuddly, devoted companion. Most of all, Ollie deserves a family who will snuggle and pamper him. Health: Ollie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, and on monthly preventatives. He's healthy, happy, and ready to begin the next chapter of his life with his forever family. Since he is currently in Montana, meet-and-greets are available with an approved application.
