Name: TONKA Kennel ID: 52 Ins GAFFNEY, SC. Hold Ends: Shelter Hold Has Ended. Needs help ASAP! Breed: Lab/Terrier x Appearance: Black/white. Nubby tail. Rear dewclaws. Gender: Male Estimated Age: 60lbs Estimated Weight:4yrs. Health: No obvious issues besides arriving a bit thin. Bio: Tonka is a big black dog with a nubby little tail and a laid-back personality. He showed up on the thin side, but he's filling out and settling in just fine. This guy is basically a giant teddy bear-soft-hearted, calm, and easy to have around. He gets along great with other dogs, walks well on a leash, and has the kind of steady presence that makes you feel like everything's okay. If you're into big dogs with good manners and even better vibes, Tonka might be your match. Other Dogs: Tests well with other dogs. Video available by request. Cats: He was a bit nervous to walk into our cat room. He sniffed a few out through their condo doors, but was non-reactive from there. We recommend using caution until he shows that he can be trusted. Children: We do not have kids to test with. We always recommend supervising children around dogs/puppies. Sometimes our dogs/puppies are active and might be too big for small children, and sometimes the children can be too rough around them. Leash: Tonka walks well on a leash.
