About Dougie

I decided to rescue Dougie from a neglectful tethered outside life from a house near me. They agreed to give him to me when I asked a few months ago. I rescued him with a foster lined up and that foster fell through shortly after. He's with me now but I am unable to keep him as I have 2 other dogs that he is not yet good with and I work a lot. He's having to live separately from us most of the time. I have already paid for his neuter, heartworm treatment, deworming, heartworm and flea/tick prevention and vaccinations. He's finally at a healthy weight. He does have a grade IV heart murmur from the heartworms but not currently having to treat it yet. I have even taken him to a couple of professional training sessions for his anxiety towards people. He would do best in a home by himself but needs time to adjust to new people. We are working on his resource guarding (which he has improved). He just needs time, training and love. He's cuddly once he warms up to you. The poor baby is learning how to be a dog for the first time in his life. I want what's best for him of course but cannot keep him much longer. Please give him the home he deserves.
