Mr. Sweetness is one of two cats in a bonded pair, and the last two left from the original Catnip Inn/The Cat's Pajamas of Houston adoption room. He and his partner, Goldie, were left as kittens with the business to try to find them homes, which they are unfortunately still waiting on. They've had to change locations and hands several times since then, being about nine years old now, and as such, Mr. Sweetness is very shy and withdrawn. He IS, however, all talk. I have had to give him medications and even bathe him once, and while he will run for his life, once you catch him, he is completely non-hostile. He does not bite or scratch, no matter how much he flails and yells. He had a home briefly and was showing progress warming up, laying out around the man who adopted him without running etc., but the gentleman tragically passed away after owning him and Goldie only about a week. But this gives me hope that he would open up. He is EXTREMELY affectionate with his partner, and just curls up in corners without her, but I've seen him get excited for wet food and rub on nearby furniture, as well as be pet very briefly. What this boy really needs is someone to pick him and give him the personal tlc he's been waiting his whole life to get so that he might live out the rest of his life peacefully.
