Pyewacket is one of seven cats left at my boarding facility when their owner passed away while they were in my care. At least three of these cats urgently need to find homes, preferably four. I realize she will be a difficult placement, however. Pye-Pye is a very calm kitty, about 10 years old according to the vet assessment, but seeming much older. She has a great appetite and isn't picky about her food, but she has trouble using the litter box, so I tend to keep her in a diaper that needs to be changed frequently. She also has an open sore in her neck that doesn't seem to heal and has to be kept clean, but the vet didn't seem too concerned about it in general. She IS, however, a designer breed, likes to sit on the couch with you and rub on your legs, doesn't weigh hardly a thing, has good mobility, and doesn't fuss when receiving meds, her diaper, or a nail trim. I've bathed her pretty frequently, because of her bathroom issues, and she doesn't LOVE that, but she only wiggles and cries, so she is easy to handle with her small size. No hostility to speak of. I think if she could get over her litter box behavioral issues, she would make a GREAT cat for a senior with her low energy and easy maintenance. She doesn't get underfoot, but doesn't avoid you, when she DOES have an accident, only goes tiny amounts that are pretty easy to clean, and does enjoy being pet. I'd keep her myself if I didn't already have four cats in a tiny apartment.
