URGENT: Betsy (A281337) has a deadline of November 22, but 4pm. If she does not find a foster, adopter, or rescue commitment by then, she will be humanely euthanized. Betsy is a 5-year-old Mastiff mix weighing 56 pounds. She should be over 70 pounds, but the stress of the shelter has caused her to lose weight. She came to PCACC as a terrified stray and has been struggling ever since. Betsy walks well on a leash, appears housebroken, has been social with both male and female dogs at the shelter, and is already spayed. Life in the kennel has been very hard on Betsy. She spins, paces, and barks from stress, and she is fearful when strangers approach her kennel, which makes it difficult for staff to provide her with support. However, outside of the kennel, she has shown glimpses of the sweet and gentle dog she truly is. Betsy needs a calm, patient home where she can decompress and gain trust at her own pace. She would do well with another mellow dog who can help guide her, or as the only dog with an adopter who is willing to give her the time and love she deserves. PCACC is located at 1150 S Eleven Mile Corner Rd, Casa Grande, AZ. For more information, call 520-509-3555 (Monday-Friday) or email [email protected] . Even sharing Betsy's story could save her life. She deserves a chance to be loved and safe.
