HE IS 'RESCUE ONLY' BY A 'NEW HOPE PARTNER ONLY' which means he can NOT be adopted from the shelter directly, and New Hope partner must pull her out. We are in urgent need of finding a chow or similar breed savvy foster and rescue to save little Hachi. His owner had him since a young puppy for the past 10 months, and with many other dogs in the home who were not fixed either. Not surprisingly, Hachi didn't do well with the small males in the home, but got along with the female dogs on his home. The owner therefore sadly surrendered him 'DUE TO BEHAVIOR TO OTHER SMALL MALE DOGS IN HOME'. However, the owner also said many good things about Hachi such as 'LIVED WITH OTHER SMALL DOGS. DOES GREAT WITH FEMALE SMALL DOGS IN HOME, PLAYFUL. WILL AT TIMES FIGHT WITH OTHER MALE DOG IN HOME OVER FEMALES. NEITHER OF THE MALES ARE NEUTERED. RESOURCE GUARDS FOOD FROM OTHER MALE DOG'. And also stated he was 'FRIENDLY WITH STRANGERS, GREAT WITH CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS 2 YEARS. LOVES ATTENTION. COWERS WITH SUDDEN NOISES AND MOVEMENTS. LIKES TENNIS BALLS. VERY CALM DOG. SWEET. RIDES WELL IN CAR. DOES BETTER WITH WOMEN AND CHILDREN THAN MAN. COWERS AWAY WHEN NERVOUS. DOES NOT LIKE WATER/BATHE BUT DOES GREAT WITH BRUSHING.'
