About Padma

Padma was born in June 1st 2024, so she's a bit over a year old. She is spayed and potty trained. She is apprehensive about strangers and will bark at new people at first. However, I have seen her warm up to strangers within a day on several occasions. She is a chow chow, which means she can be very stubborn. She needs someone who is patient and experienced with a dog like this. She is a very good dog. She is good with cats. She's never been around other dogs. She knows her basic commands (sit, lay down, stay, leave it, paw, up, gentle, go potty, come here), but I started getting sick with a chronic illness when I adopted her when she was a puppy. So she does need more training, especially leash training for walks. I have become too sick to care for her properly any longer. She is a high needs dog because of her long double coat. But she will be a very good dog for someone who is able to keep up with her needs. I want to make sure she goes to a good home, so I will have to do a home interview with potential adopters.
