About Smokey

Smokey is a good young male German shepherd mix! I found him last year around this time wandering the backroads. He has been great with my two pitbull mixes until recently when they have been getting annoyed with him, and I feel bad having to keep him in a kennel in our backyard with them. I have searched for over six months, as well as the last six months been trying to find him a home. He is a very high energy boy, but loves his cuddle time, and loves his chew bones. He's does great with a harness and leash but not so well with just a collar and leash (he will pull without the harness). Loves being outside, not too big a fan of water but he will get in it and play some. He's good with kids that are older, he likes to bark at the you get kids (he even barks at me). He's been around chickens, but still has a tendency to want to eat them. He loves all types of food/additives. Doesn't mind loud noises, does real well around fireworks and guns. Does really well in cars and to the vet. He's a bit of a butt to clip his nails and bath/deshed him but after a while he's okay with it. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and he's microchipped which I will be giving all that to whomever decides to adopt him.
