About Rain25

Domestic Cat
Age: Kitten
Sex: Female

%8F From storm drain to Stinkerbell - Rain is growing into her own. Rain has blossomed from bottle orphan to teen kitty, and she's every bit as expressive as she is beautiful. With her satiny tuxedo coat and bright, curious eyes, she's a natural conversationalist who chirps, trills, and meows her thoughts with great enthusiasm. She's playful, affectionate on her own terms, and wonderfully quirky (yes, she still toots when stressed-hence her nickname Stinkerbell). Rain is learning how to balance her big feelings with good manners. She's maturing steadily, and while she still prefers that handling and petting happen her way, she's made tremendous progress. One of Rain's favorite games is fetch. She proudly brings her chosen toy - often an emery board - and lays it across your toes, eyes shining with anticipation as she waits for you to fling it across the room. She'll fetch again and again, delighted every time. With visitors, she's sweet as pie - rubbing on hands, licking fingers, and accepting gentle pets. When she's excited or overstimulated, she may give a small nip to say she's done, or offer a soft'paw love'tap during play. If her early cues are missed, she can escalate to a firmer bite or a clawed swat, so her adopter will need to pay attention to her signals and respect her boundaries. She's made huge strides, but she still communicates with her whole body. Because she was weaned very young, Rain still self'soothes in tender ways: nursing on a blanket or gently sucking a hind toe while curled up. It's a glimpse of her vulnerable side beneath all the sass. Rain delights in tearing paper, chasing wand toys, and showing off her dramatic play style. She's striking to look at and unforgettable to know. At adoptathons, she's shown curiosity toward dogs without fear or aggression, though she hasn't lived with one yet - so a gentle canine friend may be possible. With other cats, Rain does best with slow introductions and thoughtful management. She currently lives peacefully with several feline companions and plays enthusiastically with her foster'mate, Smile. They can now spend whole nights together and even relax in the same room - small victories that show how far she's come. One resident cat remains a no'go match, so adopters should be prepared to introduce her carefully and be open to the possibility that not every pairing will be a fit. Rain's ideal home is with an experienced adopter who appreciates a spirited, intelligent cat with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Rain is a lively, expressive companion who does best with an adopter who can read her cues and enjoy her big personality. She's not suited for small children or elderly family members who might be startled by her exuberance. For the right person, Rain is a dazzling, entertaining, deeply rewarding companion who will keep you laughing, talking, and marveling at her one'of'a'kind charm.
