Ringo is a lovable, High energy dog, but is also very anxious and fearful with alpha tendencies. We have had him since a puppy. Got professional training for a year and he was neutered early at 6months old due too agression towards our other heeler. He has calmed down but is still very fearful and hard to handle at times. He has come a long way with other dogs and will get along with most to a degree. No playing fetch or any toys/food involved. He will bare teeth at our older heeler and has bitten myself and husband and nipped at our boys if he gets cornered or hurt. He is a fear biter. Outside of that and his dominance/resource guarding, he is a great dog at heart. Amazing runner, sticks around, loves you but will shy and get scared with quick movements and has trust issues. We love him and willing to continue to care for him but it's not fair to Ringo or us to be on edge. Over the past two years I've developed a fear of him and un-trust, which isn't a healthy energy for the both of us. He loves and lives to play fetch and would make an excellent marathon running partner or hiking buddy! Great guard dog, but with that comes warning to friends and family. I have places unknown compatibility because he is unpredictable, but he has lived with us and our boys and not down them any harm but warning grawls and nips. I wouldn't advertise him as a family dog. He needs a very patient owner. One who will love to take him everywhere and be his buddy and he will be yours right back! He is crate trained, leash trained (although does best off leash), knows basic commands and has no health issues. He is up to date on Rabbies and heart worm preventative. Adoption fee is negotiable.
