About Dolce

Dolce (pronounced DOL-chey) means sweet in Italian, and that word couldn't fit her better. This 10-year-old, 8-pound blue merle Pomeranian is a gentle, affectionate little companion who loves nothing more than following her person from room to room and curling up in a lap for snuggles. She happily gives kisses and has a funny pirate look with her striking gray sable coat and a dark patch over one eye. Dolce came to us after her elderly owner could no longer care for her, and it's clear she was very loved. She's social, friendly, and happiest when she's with people. Her favorite person is usually whoever has food, but she spreads her affection generously. She gets along well with other dogs, pays little attention to cats, and greets everyone she meets with a happy spirit. Although she's considered a senior, Dolce still enjoys being active. She loves short walks and has even learned to use the pet door on her own, though she prefers not to go outside by herself. She makes a little grumbly sound when she needs to potty, which turns into a bark if ignored - a smart way of making sure her needs are met. She's done wonderfully with housetraining as long as she's let out regularly. At night she's content sleeping on a dog bed in the bedroom but would be thrilled to cuddle in bed if her adopter prefers. Dolce has a heart murmur and is on Vetmedin, which helps manage her condition. She currently has no symptoms such as coughing or breathing issues, and she remains bright, active, and eager for love. She also has luxating patellas (grade 2 and 3) that do not currently cause her discomfort but should be monitored over time. She is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, dental, vaccinations, deworming, fecal testing, and preventatives. Dolce is located in Boling, TX, and her adoption fee is $350.
