[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Pablo was adopted from an Albuquerque shelter at 10 months old. I came to view him hoping to adopt a dog to train as a service dog, but it became clear that he has cerebellar hypoplasia (there was not an option to state this above) and requires a lot of daily care that was not being provided to him. I could not leave him at the shelter in the condition he was in, he is a sweet and easygoing dog, but due to the disabilities that prompted the initial need for a service dog, it is unsustainable for me to keep caring for him. He stumbles while walking and requires assistance to walk or stand steadily, he is partially blind in one eye so can be reactive if strange adults are in his blind spot, he has allergies that are treated with CBD chews or Benadryl, he has seizures in response to food allergies and has a limited selection of foods that are safe for him to eat, which I will provide the list of and any extra food we have upon adoption. His tail is also broken at a downward angle, so does not curl over his back and hangs straight down instead. He has sensation and can move his tail, so this doesn't affect him. He can be nervous around unfamiliar adult men, but he loves kids and elderly people and is very gentle with them. He is not reactive to other dogs, due to his breed instincts he is very protective and guards his owners and home. He seems to be a purebred chow, speculated to be from a puppy mill and his multiple disabilities the result of inbreeding and/or overcrowded litter. He is housetrained, needs one 30minute-1hr walk daily, will ask to go out as needed by chow grumbling and/or pointing at the door, and otherwise will lie around the house or porch throughout the day. He's affectionate but spends a lot of time doing his own thing, he struggles to play with some toys due to his CH but he enjoys balls, cones and stuffed toys. I would want to conduct a thorough vetting process and if I feel secure in where he is going, can waive the adoption fee so that you can put more money towards his care. I cannot take audio calls at the listed number, please text message or email.
