Meet Huck - A 2-3-year-old Pointer with a gentle heart and a strong desire to bond. Found as a stray and never reclaimed, Huck has had a rough start, but he's ready for a fresh chapter. The shelter environment is tough on Huck, but once outside the kennel, his affectionate and loyal personality shines. He thrives on one-on-one attention and truly connects with his people and other clam dogs or dogs that act like him. Huck is still learning housetraining and does best with a consistent routine-especially being let outside promptly after meals. During a recent home trial, he was described as 'the perfect boy,' aside from his strong prey drive. Because of that, he's may not be a good fit for homes with cats or chickens. After all he is a hunting dog and shows sign of pass training. However, He is a good boy looking for a forever home. Huck is fully vetted, neutered, heartworm negative, and ready to find his person. %BD%BD%BD Neutered %BD%BD%BD Fully vetted & up to date on prevention %BD%BD%BD Heartworm negative %BD%BD%BD Affectionate, loyal, and eager to bond %BD%BD%BD May not be suitable for homes with cats or chickens %BD%BD%BD May do well with dogs after structured introductions %BD%BD%BD Thrives with a calm environment, consistent routine, Hunting dog ready
