About Duke

Duke is an 18-month-old Basset Hound mix weighing 54 pounds. He's neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Duke is a sweet, sensitive soul who gets along well with other dogs and does fine with cats. He's not a barker and enjoys quiet companionship. Sudden movements or loud noises can startle him-he may yelp, run, or cower-so he needs a calm, patient home that will help him build confidence at his own pace. Because of his skittish nature, Duke would do best in a home without small children. He may be a good match for older, dog-savvy kids who can respect his space and help him feel safe. Duke is looking for a gentle, loving family that understands shy dogs and will give him the time and support he needs to shine. Could that be you? Duke is currently being fostered in TN.
