About GRETA

GRETA is a beautiful 18-month-old, 11.5 pound Schnauzer who was found as a stray. She is an affectionate, playful, and spirited girl who will make someone a wonderful companion. GRETA is very affectionate, loves giving kisses, and thrives on human attention. She is also full of energy! She loves to run like the wind, chase after toys, and proudly drop them at your feet for another throw. Whoever adopts her should have a strong throwing arm and be ready for plenty of playtime! GRETA is okay with other dogs, though they're not her favorite. She much prefers being the center of attention. She might do well with one young, playful male dog, but she would also be perfectly happy as your one and only. We do not know how she would be with kids but she can be a little mouthy with her playing so 12 and up would be her best age range. We do not know how she would be with cats. A fenced-in yard is a must for GRETA since she adores running and playing. She wasn't housebroken when she arrived, but she's improving every day and uses the dog door consistently. She will need more work though. GRETA eats with enthusiasm and does best with a slow feeder bowl, which will go home with her when she's adopted. She's also a bit of a barker, so an apartment setting wouldn't be ideal for her. At night, she enjoys snuggling in the big bed with her people. One unique thing about GRETA is that she only has two toes on one of her back feet but it doesn't slow her down one bit! GRETA has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Please remember to check your spam folder for any communication from our team. We adopt to homes within a 1-6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and some dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally. We do not ship or transport our dogs.
