Boots is a very sweet dog. He loves to cuddle, be loved on, and play! Boots has moderate energy. He plays hard and relaxes just as hard! When Dad comes home, he loves to catch a freebie or a ball. Although sometimes he does not bring them back. He likes squeaky toys, bones, and a good stick to chew on. He is a quick learner and eager to please. Boots enjoys being outside to patrol the yard. He likes to chase squirrels and run off any deer that would dare get too close. He enjoys playing with his older brother dog and taking naps. Boots would love a home with a big yard so that he can explore! He is a great family protector and will alert you if someone is at the door. Have a deer problem? He's got you! I think he would thrive in a home with older children who would love to play with him. He would also be a good dog for someone who works from home or is looking for a work companion. He gets along better with females dogs. Boots is trained to sit, come, lie down, and stay. He is crate trained. He does pretty well on a leash. Boots is up to date on all vaccines and does not have any medical conditions. We are looking to re-home Boots because we are worried about the safety of our infant. He is a large dog, and we are concerned that he could knock over the baby. He has also shown a few signs of aggression toward toddlers. Unfortunately, socializing him with young children was not a priority due to a difficult pregnancy and a husband who works 60 hours a week. He is still young, so there is definitely hope for additional training.
