UPDATE The holidays came and went and sweet Cardi never got her only wish - a forever home. She's still here, her little Santa hat on, eyes lifted to the sky, as if she's waiting to see Santa's sleigh roll in just for her. And it breaks me in a way I can't even explain, because I don't have the heart to tell her that Christmas is over. I'm still hopeful praying, believing, whispering into the universe so new years magic that her human finds her now, and starts the New Year with compassion and a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love. It takes one person to change everything. Be that person for Cardi. This sweet, beautiful girl is spending 23 hours a day locked in a cage, patiently hoping that today will be the day her miracle arrives. Cardi's story is truly heartbreaking. She is a 5-year-old angel who was pulled from the brink of euthanasia at a high-kill shelter. She was literally out of time and now, by a miracle, she's here - alive - just waiting for a family to love her. And oh, is she easy to love. Housebroken,Crate trained, Walks beautifully on a leash, Spayed & fully vaccinated,Ready to walk right into your heart and your home!! No training needed just love. She is affectionate, loyal, and a total love bug. She adores car rides, sunbathing, cuddling, and being close to her people. The kind of dog who makes your house feel like home. Cardi does need to be the only pet, and because she's a strong girl, kids over 12 are best but in return, she will fill your life with loyalty, laughter, and unconditional love. Are you the unicorn home she's waiting for? No other pets just her, finally being someone's whole world. Right now, Cardi is in Laceyville, PA and we only have a few days to find her a foster or forever family before she loses her safe place. She does not deserve to end up back in a shelter where dogs are euthanized every single day just for space. She deserves a soft bed. A warm hug. A family. A life.
