I rescued this tiny, starving, stray black kitten from a church parking lot on 8/30/25. She appeared to be 6 weeks old. The no-kill shelter's cat room was closed due to an outbreak; so, I brought her home. The first order of business was to feed this wee thing. On 9/12/25, I brought her to a local veterinary clinic to be examined. She received her first series of vaccinations and rabies vaccine, was tested for FeLV/FIV/HW (all negative), and treated for an URI. The shocking news is that this kitten is actually 6 months old! Starvation stunted her growth. She is just 8' tall at the shoulder and about 11' from base of tail to base of neck. No doubt she'll grow some more. Other than being extra small, she's normal. Ember has a robust appetite and enjoys playing. She's been quarantined from my 3 cats, so I don't know how compatible she'd be with other cats, though I'm certain she'd love to have a playmate; I don't have a dog so can't comment on compatibility. She has been fine around other people. She is a sweet little munchkin who needs a loving home where she can be an indoor-only cat (firm requirement). The adoption fee covers her wellness exam and vaccinations. She still needs to be spayed. More photos available on request.
