Courtesy Posting: X URGENT at PHOENIX, AZ- ID #A5151307- MARICOPA COUNTY ANIMAL CARE (WEST VALLEY) - HANDSOME SMALLER SHEPHERD X (listed with some chow?)- only 1 yr, 47 lb 'LEMON'- ADOPTABLE, BUT MAY NEED RESCUE AND THUS ALSO A FOSTER TO SAVE HIS LIFE! SHELTER IS FULL and puts many shepherds and chow and chow mixes on their euth list suddenly. Please help us find a good home or foster and rescue for this young, friendly boy who was found as stray and was said to be seen roaming the area with another dog. The shelter has named him Lemon and listed as a german shepherd chow mix and estimates he is only 1 year old. At only 47 lbs, he is perfectly size. Sadly, his owner never showed. At the shelter, Lemon is noted as having a 'Soft body, open mouth, tail wagging, and allowed petting'. The finder also provided helpful information saying he was 'friendly with another large female dog, friendly with adult strangers, allowed lifting into the car without issue'. He also walked well on a leash and seemed to know stop and go. For a copy of full behavior and medical notes, though, please go to: https://apps.pets.maricopa.gov/adoptPets/Home/Details/A5151307 The dog he was found with is A5151309, although we do not have more info at this time, or know if they are even related. Lemon is now adoptable, but likely on borrowed time. If you may be interested in adopting, please contact the shelter immediately and directly at (602) 506-7387, ask for him by ID. Adoptions are currently only $50 currently. This includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchip. Please note we are looking also looking for foster in case he does need rescue. If you are interested in fostering, fostering-to-adopt, or helping in some other way (ie., pledging for his rescue), please also contact [email protected] asap or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to find placement. We will try to pair fosters or interested parties with a rescue group. Rescue groups may contact the shelter directly at [email protected] and by calling 602-506-7387 and providing the ID We will be posting videos, additional pictures and updates on facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/debbie.alder.14/posts/pfbid02aeTN11hUAUqSSGBmTiUHsKKB2pMqVEHy91675xFyBe5sPYRmg4ynx2bgJn865eUbl Note: to view contents of links you will need to copy and paste each link separately into your browser.
