Courtesy Posting: X URGENT at PHOENIX, AZ- ID #A5151110 - MARICOPA COUNTY ANIMAL CARE (WEST VALLEY) - ADORABLE, PETITE YOUNG 1 YR, 34 lb FEMALE CHOW X 'LIL CHOW'- ADOPTABLE, BUT MAY NEED RESCUE AND THUS ALSO A FOSTER TO SAVE HER LIFE! SHELTER IS FULL and puts many chow and chow mixes on their euth list suddenly. Please help us find a good home or foster and rescue for this adorable, little young girl who was found as stray with a similar looking friend who has already been adopted. The shelter has named this pretty lady Lil Chow and estimates she is only 1 year old. At only 34 lbs, Lil Chow is perfectly sized. While shy at first, we sent a volunteer who described her as very sweet. We now have additional pictures and videos we will can share or will post on facebook. She is now adoptable, but likely is on borrowed time. Lil Chow is shy at first like many chows, and Shelter additional notes state, 'leash work, go slow, experienced handler, family introduction, no other dogs'. For a copy of full behavior and medical notes, though, please go to: https://apps.pets.maricopa.gov/adoptPets/Home/Details/A5151110 She is recommended ideally to a home with chow experience and no other dogs. Lil Chow and her friend Ola got into a fight, possibly over food and had to be separated in different kennels. If you may be interested in adopting, please contact the shelter immediately and directly at (602) 506-7387, ask for her by ID. Adoptions are currently only $50 currently. This includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchip. She is already spayed and ready to go home. Please note we are looking also looking for foster in case she does need rescue. If you are interested in fostering, fostering-to-adopt, or helping in some other way (ie., pledging for her rescue), please also contact [email protected] asap or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to find placement. We will try to pair fosters or interested parties with a rescue group. Rescue groups may contact the shelter directly at [email protected] and by calling 602-506-7387 and providing the ID. We will be posting videos, additional pictures and updates on facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/debbie.alder.14/posts/pfbid0315M55BzNzeWDHbXh5i3H1zGoewfnQRSt9e7KFBbfnB8RJoRKBsXKJUXbZ9nfp22Tl Note: to view contents of links you will need to copy and paste each one separately into your browser.
