Hi, I'm Elle! Age: Approx. 8 months Gender: Spayed Female Weight: 35 lbs Breed: Labrador Retriever/Hound Mix Favorites: Treats, toys, playing with my sister (Dakota), playing with people Energy level: High Training: None apparent at this time Other important info about me: When I first arrived at the shelter I was a social butterfly: outgoing, energetic, and up for anything! But I've spent many months at the shelter now and my sister was adopted a long time ago, and since then I've started to shut down mentally. I've become quite timid, and many things are scary to me, including strangers. It's just so loud and overwhelming here, I don't know what to do! I got a break from the shelter for a week or so and I felt so much better, but as soon as I came back to the shelter I felt insecure again. I know that if someone can open up their heart and have patience with me, I can settle into my new home and learn how to be a normal dog again! I am super loving and affectionate with the people I know and trust, and love treats and toys. I would likely do well in a home with another friendly dog that can show me the ropes and be my buddy. Kids are a little too overwhelming for me at this point, but it's possible I could acclimate to living with them. I haven't been tested with cats at this time.
