About Raven

Raven is at AHeinz57, a dog rescue shelter in De Soto, Iowa. She is a 7 year old Doberman mix (she might be full bred, since a dog she was found with was DNA tested as purebred Dobie). We can tell she may have not had the best life prior to coming to us as a stray. Her ears are cropped, she has a few scars and will circle her kennel like she used to be confined to a small space. Despite all she has been through and how nervous she may be, this sweetie loves getting pets and head scratches. Raven keeps her kennel clean and walks well on a leash. She loves to sit outside on her patio and run with other dogs. Because she is a bit nervous, Raven requires a physical fenced in yard so she will feel safe in her forever home. When she was in a kennel with her friend, Ember, she did have some resource guarding tendencies. She is definitely good with humans and other dogs but we haven't tested her around cats or children yet. Raven is on-site at our rescue!
