Hi, I'm Edward - and I'm Ready for a Fresh Start About 7 years old | 55 lbs | Dog-friendly | No cats for me, please If you're reading this, thank you. I'm Edward, and I haven't always had it easy - but I'm still here, still hopeful, and still wagging (well�'�| as much as my little tail nub will let me). I came from a crowded shelter where dogs like me don't often get a second chance. I was on the list to be put down just to make room. But someone saw something in me, and now I'm safe - finally. I'm a pretty mellow guy. I get along just fine with other dogs, especially if they're calm and kind like me. I've lived with other pups and done well, though I can be a little protective of my food or special treats. It's nothing dramatic - I just never had much, so I'm still learning it's okay to share. People make me so happy - I get excited when I see them! But I might flinch or freeze at first. I try to be brave, even though it's clear I wasn't always treated kindly before I got here. I've never snaped or growled - just need a little time to trust. Oh, and about my tail�'�| it's kind of my trademark now. It's short, bent, and a little beat up - just like me. But I still wag it every chance I get. I'm not looking for much - just a quiet, kind home where I can finally rest, be loved, and never have to wonder if I'll be safe again.
