We have more photos...contact us if you are interested. You won't be sorry. On a spring or summer day what is better than the scent of Jazmine! This girl was aptly named and is indeed a beautiful flower of the senior age of 9. She comes to us with yet another sad story. Her same photo popped up on an adoption site FREE and we got a call from her owner asking if we could help her. The person calling was the sister of the original owner, her brother, who was going to turn her in to the shelter stating he had no more time for her. SHE IS NINE! The sister went and got her to try to find her a home. Unfortunately, not only was she tossed away like she meant nothing but she also has not spent one day inside a home.THAT IS ABOUT TO CHANGE! She will be pampered and loved! She is fostered in the Mission Viejo area. She will just need to learn a new routine and we've been told she is eager to please. She has been raised with a small dog and kids. She still loves to run and play with a ball. She is healthy does not have any fatty lumps. She shows deep affection putting her head in anyone's lap who will allow her. Jazmine has a sweet, sweet temperament and deserves to live out the rest of her life INDOORS! Can you imagine?? It's been so HOT outside! For NINE years she has endured weather changes with none of the comforts or love she yearns for. UPDATE: Jazmine spent a couple nights INSIDE a foster home on a soft bed and did very well. She found the softest bed and literally crashed. She stood absolutely still for her bath and to have her HORRIBLY caked ears cleaned. She smothered her foster with gratitude by means of wet face kisses. She learned the doggy door without anyone telling her. She followed her foster sisters in and out and never had an indoor accident. She was a little protective of her food which means she probably had little access to her own food and may have even had to compete to eat. She is learning the food is now unlimited and available. Not once did anyone hear her bark. If left outside she softly whimpered. Her night was spent in the arms of her foster on the couch enjoying snuggling beneath a warm blanket as the night turned cold. She had a vet visit where the veterinary staff fell in love with her. She allowed them to handle her without a sound. She was given a clean bill of health except for slight dental tartar, normal for a nine year old, and ears caked with dirt. We made a point of cleaning her ears during her much needed bath. A little hesitant to get inside a car since she never experienced a car ride before was the biggest challenge, but once inside, she fell asleep to the lull of the motor and never tried to become one with the driver. Jazzy would do superior in a home with other dogs. She should be fed separately. She wants her food to be left alone (although lets humans handle it) and is a little stingy with sharing. We suspect this will go away once she learns she does not have to compete to eat. So sad in some small way. She'll make a great companion! Get out the ball and her heart is yours! FOSTERED IN MISSION VIEJO! THIS JUST IN!!!! From Jazmine's Foster who has said that whoever adopts her will be very lucky!: We had a great first day. She used the dog door right away and there have been no accidents. We took a three and a half mile walk this morning and she is very easy to handle. She wanted to sniff and explore most of the time but we jogged a little on the return home. She wanted to say hello to all the passers by and got a few pets from new friends. There were a few other dogs that were friendly and she said 'hello' without any issues. Some dog walkers didn't want to have interaction with other dogs which we all understand. I held her next to me and all other dogs walked by without incident. She's eating normally and takes treats gently from my hand. She is very affectionate and will give me kisses any time I'm on the floor putting on shoes. She seems to be fine when I've left the house. Nothing is disturbed when I get home from running errands or a few hours at work teaching. She is loving the cuddle beds and sat quietly during an hour long work call. She spent last night in her cuddle bed next to my bed and I don't think she got up at all during the night. If she did, I didn't hear it. She's a sweetheart that is ready to give love. Here's a cute but cheesy line I use as a play on the name Jasmine: This princess is ready for a Z 'Whole New World With You'Z The Disney fans will love it!!!!
