My family and I recently rescued a sweet 4-year-old bully breed from the DeKalb Shelter. He is an absolute sweetheart who adores attention and loves being around people. He gets along wonderfully with our other dog and has such a gentle, affectionate nature. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, his strong prey drive toward our cat has proven to be more than we can safely manage. When we adopted him, we knew this might be a challenge, but we wanted to give him a second chance at life and hoped time would help him adjust. We are absolutely committed to finding him the loving home he deserves - one without cats, where he can continue to thrive and feel safe. He came to us in rough shape, but with love and care, he's already come such a long way. Returning him to the shelter is not an option we're willing to consider, and we want to be sure he goes to someone who will treat him like family. If you or someone you know could provide a safe, loving, cat-free home - or if you can point us in the right direction to help rehome him responsibly - we would be incredibly grateful.
