About August

August is a big lover with lots of energy. She's an anxious girl but very smart and is good at learning tricks. She absolutely adores the dog park-isn't amazing on the leash but if you bring a toy out there with you she is much better than if just left to her own devices. She loves to chase and be chased. She's afraid of small children and men, but she will warm up to men with a few introductions. She's generally shy meeting new people, but once she knows you she LOVES you. She loves to cuddle up next to you at night. She loves companionship, so I think she'd be the happiest in a home with another dog or a high amount of human presence. I think she'd also do best with a fenced in yard or with someone who is willing to take her to the dog park almost every day.
