About Nova

Meet Nova! 1.5 years old, 34 lbs, spayed, rabies cert, fully vaxed, on heartworm, flea and tick prevention, and microchipped. Completely house trained. Nova lives successfully in foster care with an elderly cat and another dog. However, due to her prey drive, she may not do well in a home with cats and small dogs. At minimum, they need proper intros. Nova looks like a Boston Terrier, Frenchie, Boxer mix. Her ears are cropped. She arrived in shelter as a stray Feb 2025 with heartworm, but has completed treatment and is heartworm negative! She is back to normal activity again. This friendly, happy and smart girl is easy-to-train and loves people, kids, long walks, car rides & snuggles! Great on leash with harness, but will pull if she sees bunnies and squirrels. Nova has significant separation anxiety and needs to be crated when left alone. She rarely barks and would do well with an experienced dog owner who is usually at home :) Her fee is a verified $125 donation to Wisconsin Humane Society.
