About Max

This stunning blue Merle boy is Max. He is a 2 year Australian Shepherd, Australian Cattle Dogs, McNab mix, per DNA. He weighs 45 lbs. He has a natural stubby tail. Max is smart and already knows his basics: sit, come when called, and stay. He is also house and crate trained. He loves lounging in his 'little boy room' (his crate) with his collection of squeaky toys and chew bones. Max likes women, men, and kids but he does sometimes jump on new people. Due to that, he isn't a fit for small kids. Max is good with other adult dogs, but isn't a fan of puppies. Max loves to play with other dogs. He would be fine as an only or with a buddy in his new home. Max is a wonderful adventure partner. He walks very well on the leash and is polite when passing other dogs and people. He loves his weekly hikes and would love a hike that does that. He is also fine in the car. He is also confident when out and about, so should enjoy going places with his new family. As for fetch�'�|he will okay for hours if you let him. Max is a special guy who only needs a new home because his family isn't a fit for an active herder. He would love a home who is active. When the fun is done, he is cuddly and wants pets and playtime with humans. Max is very smart, empathetic, and reads human emotions well. This boy is a gem and someone will be lucky to be his bestie. Max is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in La Verne, CA, and is ready to meet adopters who can come here to adopt.
