Here is a new post: It is with a heavy heart that my family is looking for a new, loving home for our male Bull Terrier, Rosko. We purchased Rosko from a responsible, purebred breeder with the hope of adding a healthy and well-behaved family member. He is a handsome dog with a strong, healthy build. Rosko is a natural guard dog, and since moving to the country, his protective instincts have become overwhelming for our family. We have two children, an aging dog, and two cats. As he has matured, he has taken on the alpha role and now displays reactivity that we are not experienced enough to manage. His focus on protecting our homestead has surpassed his role as a family companion. We love Rosko deeply and are heartbroken by this decision, but we believe finding a more suitable environment and 'pack' is the kindest thing we can do for him. He is too good of a dog to take to a shelter, and he would thrive in the right home. **About Rosko:** * **Age:** 4 * **Breed:** Bull Terrier * **Ideal Owner:** Rosko is not suited for a first-time dog owner. Like most Bull Terriers, he is trained but can be stubborn and opportunistic. * **Socialization:** He got along well with our German Shepherd but is not good with strange dogs or small, energetic dogs. He is fine with our cats and children but can be wary of unfamiliar children. * **Behavior:** When in public, we keep him close and we are watchful of strangers. * **Training:** He is fully crate, leash, and potty trained. Ultimately, we see this as a life-saving decision for him. Our neighbors have expressed fear and even threatened to harm him if he were to get loose.
