About Ziggy

Adoption Fee: 20
Siberian Husky / Pomeranian
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

ADOPT ZIGGY! Some specifics: Breed: Pomsky, or Pomeranian / Husky mix. He's got papers from a breeder as well. Size: He weighs approximately 26 pounds - a very manageable size. Age: He'll be ten years of age on 3 October, '25. Health: He's up-to-date on all vaccines and immunizations, including rabies, kennel cough, heartworm and flea / tick treatments. He's also chipped. His general health is top-notch. I've been rigorous about taking him in for regular vet visits since we got him (at eight months of age), whether he's needed them or not (and he's NEVER needed them). He is also free of Lyme or other tick-born disease. General Appearance: He's got a beautiful red / white coat with a bit of black underneath. He's got one blue and one brown eye. I believe the physiological term is 'heterochromia' - he's quite striking, really. He comes with food, treats, and gear thrown in (although I'd like to keep his tag as a memento). We moved down here to be near grandkids. Unfortunately, he bit my youngest granddaughter. I cannot be certain if it was provoked or not. Any accounts of the incident come from the child's young sister. We DO know definitively that he's not good with small children ((10 years of age or so), otherwise I'd be keeping him until his dying day. Ziggy would be a perfect companion for an older couple/person, a single person, or a childless couple in need of some affectionate and engaging company. I emphatically do NOT want him adopted by someone who would keep him tied up outside all day. He is an INSIDE dog. He loves nothing more than human company and attention WITHOUT being overly demanding or cloying in any way. You can easily leave him to his own devices alone at home for hours without any problems. He's a smart little guy: when it's the wee hours of the morning and he needs to do his business, he simply goes in the shower stall (where I leave a puppy pad) instead of soiling floors or carpets, OR getting me out of bed! (I still find that absolutely staggering...) During the day if he needs to do his business, he'll ring a set of bells I hang on the door to alert me to the fact that he needs to be taken outside. He's wonderfully adaptable and travels well, though like many dogs, he'll run off if not kept on a lead or fenced-in enclosure. I can put you in touch with the veterinarian I used back home so you have his complete records.
