About CANE

Meet Handsome CANE! This boy is friendly with everyone and ready for his Forever Family! Cane is a smart boy and is eager to learn, train and go on adventures. He already knows the commands; sit, lay down, back up. He doesn't know how to fetch yet but loves a game of tug of war. Cane loves his walks but still needs some polishing on his leash manners but does quite well after his energy is worked out. Cane's foster mom says, 'Cane still has a puppy dog wonder about him! He has kind eyes and loves to snuggle with a blanket. He is goofy and clumsy at times but in a cute way! He loves to cuddle with other dogs and people. He loves to eat ice and will head towards the fridge when he hears us getting ice from the freezer! He has a gentle calm after he is able to get his energy out by playing or running in the backyard. Cane does well in his crate and goes in on command for sleep and when we go to work. Cane is completely housebroken and his signal is to pace. When we ask him if he has to go potty, he will respond by moving faster and running toward the door. He likes to go bye-bye and rides well in the car but pants for a while and does well around kids but tends to not pay attention to his surroundings and inadvertently bumps into people and things around him so older kids are recommended. Cane is also good buddies with my 2 dogs and respects my cat! He is a great boy!' Cane is believed to be a pure breed Doberman. He just turned 1 year old, is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, crate trained, housebroken, on monthly Heartworm, flea and tick prevention, plus, he was recently neutered. We recommend an interested potential adopter to be familiar with Cane's breed, to be very active, able bodied & have good leadership dog skills to continue Cane's development into a great and well trained, adult dog.
