My name is Freya*, the most kid friendly dog on earth, and I need a home with zero outdoor cats nearby and a big fenced yard. If that cover letter got your attention, here's my GLOWING resume: -I'm eight years old and have a perfect medium energy level. Always ready to go on a long walk or run around the yard, but also love a lazy day on the couch. -I'm a very small fifty pounds. No one ever believes how big I am!(need to round down for a landlord? They'll definitely fall for it) -I love every human I've ever met and I'm unbelievably gentle with kids, even babies and toddlers! I'll lay on the floor and let them pet me as long as they want and will love every minute of attention -I'm A+++ house trained -I get along with most dogs but I'm content to be your one and only -I LOVE being outside, if you let me I'll happily spend ten hours a day in the yard. -I sit like a perfect angel pup for vet visits, baths, nail trims etc -I have no interest in human food. You can leave your dinner beside me on the couch and I won't touch it. -I love car rides and never try to climb in the front seat -I'm so polite that I won't even go in my human's room when she leaves the door open because I know I'm not allowed in there And now every single one of you is asking, if I'm so gosh darn wonderful then why can't I stay where I am? Because of my only red flag: I. Hate. Cats. More than any other creature has ever hated cats. My current neighborhood is completely overrun with outdoor cats, and whether I'm inside or out, I know they're there and I can't stand it and I've gotten to a point where I can no longer function. I'm so miserable I'm losing weight from stress. I need lots of time outside to thrive, but I'm not safe in my yard here because I can and will jump a 42 inch fence to chase the cats. At my grandparents' house where there are no cats anywhere and a six foot fence, I'm a totally different dog. I'm so happy and calm and never make any attempt to escape, or even show any desire to.
