About Firefly-Sweet/Shy Girl

Hi I'm Firefly! I'm just a puppy still at around 8 months old and weighing in at 26 lbs as of mid-September. My mama Holly is a primarily white, rough coated smaller terrier mix (about 30 lbs). My mix is a bit of a mystery - possible Scottie and/or Schnauzer in there- it is really a guess. I'm very sweet with other dogs, kids and humans (maybe a little shy at first meeting), but I'm working through a fear of the outdoors. My foster mama says that I seem to make progress day after day, but I'm going to need a family who has the patience to work with me to conquer that fear. It's really important for me to have another well-balanced dog in the house to help me gain confidence in new surroundings and teach me more dog things. I tend to follow the lead and walk better outside with a dog buddy. I know to use the pee pads in the house, but I haven't yet been brave enough to let my guard down to use the outdoors.
