Meleodas - ID 13420 - Kennel 801 - Arrived September 6 as an owner surrender - Hound mix, white and brown - Male, 3 years old, 75 lb - Will be neutered prior to adoption - Up to date on vaccines - Heartworm positive Meleodas is a beautiful boy with a tender spirit who just wants someone to love. At 3 years old, this sweet hound mix finds himself confused and unsure in the shelter after his owner could no longer care for him. He doesn't seem to know English commands, and it's possible he understands Spanish-but what's certain is that he's a smart, eager-to-please pup who will pick things up quickly once he has someone patient and kind to guide him. On leash, Meleodas is gentle and easy to walk. What he needs most is not training, but love-someone to show him the comfort of a soft bed, the joy of a walk with a friend, and the security of a forever home. Meleodas has tested heartworm positive, but this is treatable, and many dogs go on to live long, happy lives after treatment. Because of this, Meleodas urgently needs to leave the shelter. What he needs most is a family willing to help him through it. Potential adopters can also speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while Meleodas receives his treatment. His big, soulful eyes seem to ask if anyone will give him that chance. Please don't let him spend another day wondering when his forever will come.
