Meet Burt - A Beautiful Brindle Boy Ready for His Next Chapter Burt was sadly orphaned when his elderly owner passed away unexpectedly, leaving him without his person or the only home he had ever known. Since coming into rescue, he's been adjusting with resilience and heart-and is now looking for a loving home or foster to help him continue his journey forward. This striking brindle pup has multicolored, hypnotizing eyes and a warm, intelligent soul. They are so blue at times that in the sun they sometimes have patches of white. The vet termed them albino eye's, which is not very common and I was assured it does not affect his vision.Bert is believed to be a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, though his exact blend is anyone's guess. What's certain is that Burt is a one-of-a-kind companion. Burt is Housebroken, Great with other dogs, cats, and children, Active and playful-he loves fetch, and a good game of keep-away. Burt is shy at first, but warms up quickly once he feels safe. He is trained in basic commands and learns quickly. Burt is good in the car and walks well on a gentle leader harness. Burt doesn't counter surf for food, but he's very curious-so don't be surprised to see him stand on his back legs to get a good look at what you're doing on the counter.
