About Motley

Motley is a very sweet, playful and fun loving guy! He loves watching the birds and trees outside. He loves a good campfire and being in nature. He likes to be around his humans, and is very loyal. Motley has also been known to swim in the lake and enjoys being around other pups, but he can be very independent as well. He is pretty chill and sleeps most the day when we are at work. Motley does well on a leash and loves to go for walks, sniffing everything along the way. He does not do well in a crate, he has not been in one since we had him and we've had no issue with him having free reign of the house why we are surrendering: We have had Motley 4 years. He came from a shelter in Texas to Minneapolis, then we adopted him. He had heart worm when we got him and we spent a lot of time and money to get him all cleared. We would have done anything for Motley. Unfortunately, he bit our daughters (8 years old) friend in the shoulder. It was a birthday party and a lot of action going on, but he bit her unprovoked. We have a 6 and 8 year old and we just cannot risk having him bite another child. We are absolutely DEVESTATED that we have to surrender him and wish this didn't happen. We have weighed all our options and we just have to do this. Please find a good home for our boy, he is sweet as can be and made a mistake. We want him to have a great life (we gave him a great life, and will miss having him around), we are so sad this has to happen. He would do great somewhere with a big yard (he has never ran off our property, he stays close) and adults with older kids. We will forever love Motley. Please understand he is a very good boy and this is very hard for us
