About Tucker

Miniature Pinscher
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

TUCKER needs a HOME ASAP! City of Walnut, CA, L.A. County Poor Tucker, His owner passed away and the owner's family took him in temporarily until they can find a home for him. The Landlord will NOT allow dogs there. 8 years ago, as a puppy, someone gave Tucker to his owner. He did NOT want a dog but took him in anyway. Tucker has not had much socialization at all and was very sheltered. His owner was a gamer who never really paid any attention to Tucker because he didn't have time and didn't want to give him time. Tucker's temp. family works full time so Tucker is crated all day and all night. They are doing the best that they can trying to give him some attention that he never had. They work with him on commands and as you can see in the 2nd video he is quite SMART. Due to lack of socialization Tucker is VERY skittish when he first meets someone at his house. He doesn't understand what they are doing there and runs in and out of his crate in fear. A person who met him tried to pet him in his own house and he tried to nip. IMPS MinPin Rescue had a volunteer go over there today to evaluate Tucker ON NEUTRAL TERRITORY and he did GREAT. As you can see in the comments he walks beautifully on a leash and even has a GORGEOUS prance. Tucker is FULL of energy and always ready to go! Although IMPS can not take him in to our rescue at this time we are helping to find Tucker a home who can give him TIME, UNDERSTANDING and training! Today, when our volunteer took the leash, he went right along with her and when she sat on a park bench he immediately put his 2 front paws up on her for a treat! The home says he's good with dogs and cats, it's meeting new people that he has an issue with. He must meet a new home on neutral territory. He's good at protecting his home and crate. Tucker is about 12 lbs. and 8 yrs. which is quite young for a MinPin. He also needs to be neutered and that will help him be more calm too. We can set that up BEFORE he goes to his new home. To meet or adopt him please go to our website minpinrescue.org and fill out an Adoption Application and we will contact you shortly. Thank you so much. Here is a video of him walking so nicely on a leash with OUR volunteer who went over to evaluate him for us! https://youtube.com/shorts/Cdm3Nmht54I?si=aG2bs0LZrR3yf-rB ~Lori (IMPS MinPin Rescue SoCal) Internet Miniature Pinscher Service
