Vidia is a sweetheart! She loves her people and her canine companions. She is also goofy and clownish and makes you laugh. She has the best grin and happy face! She doesn't much care for conflict and will usually rather have peace than be right. It is not that she is a pushover and she is pretty self-confident but really just wants to play or hang out. She has a wonderful, optimistic, adaptable personality and good resilience and with a little patience she will easily settle into a new home and family. She is okay with children and doesn't really bother with them. She has a lot of traits from her Labrador ancestors including how she loves having toys in her mouth. Sometimes she just wants to carry them around and other times she picks some to chew on. She is a strong chewer and needs that outlet; sometimes she grabs a forbidden object such as a shoe (not on purpose) if it is left out, but is getting better about this. Vidia is shy with new people at first, especially men, but always friendly. She can be around unfamiliar people without issues but gets a little worried if they focus their attention on her. This makes her suited to go to dog friendly places for a bite to eat, ice cream, a drink or whatever you fancy. Vidia is a fairly active dog and needs some good exercise and activity a couple of times a week to meet her needs. She enjoys hiking enormously and you really see her happy, adventurous side there. She doesn't go too far as she wants to know where you are but will still get in some good running and sniffing. She has shown no tendency to want to chase wild animals. She would most likely do great camping. Because of the large number of homeless dogs, adoptions are very slow all over, and poor Vidia and her siblings have been in a kennel-like environment and later a busy foster home since birth. She deserves a shot at a true family life. Vidia is house trained and uses a doggie door. She does well on the leash. She developed motion sickness when going in the car but is fine when given an over-the-counter motion sickness pill ahead of trips. She is crate trained and will go in willingly for treats but isn't a big fan of being left in it. She is fine with cats and mostly ignores them. Female, her breeds according to her dna results are about 50% American Pit Bull Terrier, 22% Labrador retriever, 20% German Shepherd, 8% American Bulldog, 8% English Bulldog.
