About Flynn

Allow me to reintroduce myself - my name is Flynn, and I'm a 5-year-9-month-old neutered male, purebred German Shepherd Dog (around 80 lbs). Meet Flynn! This almost 6-year-old loyal, high-energy shepherd is the ultimate adventure partner. He's athletic, playful, and thinks he's part human-always ready to be at your side. Flynn loves car rides, running, water, and especially catching frisbees or balls (he'll happily go for hours if you let him!). Flynn knows all his basic commands (Sit, Stay, Come, Heel, Place) and has completed the Sit Means Sit training program with an e-collar. He's crate-trained, up to date on his vaccinations, and has no medical issues. Flynn does best as the only dog, or in a home with calm or submissive dogs. His previous placement had multiple dominant dogs, and while he held his ground calmly, the personalities just didn't mesh. Flynn isn't aggressive-he simply has a lot of confidence and doesn't back down when challenged. With the right canine companion or on his own, he's relaxed, obedient, and happy. He's not good with cats and would do best in a home without small children, simply because he's a strong shepherd who sometimes throws his weight around. Because Flynn is a working-breed dog, he thrives in an active household with someone who understands German Shepherds. He needs plenty of exercise, structure, and engagement. He's loyal, affectionate, and will be happiest with someone who wants a true companion by their side. Rehoming reason: Flynn comes from a blended family with a new baby in the home, and his current owners aren't able to provide the attention and active lifestyle he deserves.
