URGENT!!! AT RISK OF BEING SURRENDERED/EUTHANIZED!!! CINCINNATI, OHIO . (willing to drive up to 180 MILES ). 4.5 Y/O MALE AKC REGISTERED GSD (DOB:10/25/20 ). His name is ' ONYX'. Background: has been with the same Shepherd Parent since weaned. UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed. NOT Good with kids. NOT Good with dogs. NOT Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained, but has been raised to mostly stay in a safe confined room when left alone. Any known medical issues?:NO . ENERGY LEVEL: HIGH. PREY DRIVE LEVEL:HIGH. Resource Guarding. Territorial Weighs 85 lbs. Currently on Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Bison food. Good with car rides?: YES. Socialized with other dogs and/or people?: REACTIVE to other dogs, is okay with people OUTSIDE of the home, very territorial of his home. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): yes, if OUTSIDE of the home, very territorial of his home. Loves: swimming - playing fetch - pup cups - playing tug - belly rubs - car rides - nose games - cuddling with his person - going on walks - balls - being near his person - Bully Sticks. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?:YES . *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): FAIR. *Good on a Leash?:YES, but REACTIVE if he sees other dogs or people on bikes . *Lovable?: YES. *Eager and fast learner?: YES. Onyx is a great boy, High Puppy Energy with lots of love to give to the right person. Onyx does have Resource Guarding and Territorial issues. He is REACTIVE to other dogs and bikes. Onyx will take time, but once you are his Person, he is very loyal and affectionate. Onyx DOES have a Bite History. He has bit 3 family members due to his Resource Guarding and Territorial Behaviors. Onyx did go through Training Courses when he was 1 year old, and now he is currently back in Training for his Resource Guarding. Re Homing because�'�|: the Current Shepherd Parent has realized that Onyx needs to be with someone who has time to devote to work with Onyx through his Behavioral issues. Because of him biting family members, the family is just not comfortable with the situation and needs to get him into a great loving home with someone EXPERIENCED with Behavioral Issues and someone with time to devote to Onyx. Will thrive best�'�|?: Onyx needs to go to a Breed Experienced Person ONLY who is also experienced with Behavioral Issues. Someone with time to devote to Onyx to help work through these issues. Someone with NO kids or other pets in the home. No elderly for safety reasons. Comes with: collar, leash, crate, AKC papers if the Current Shepherd Parent can find them, bed, toys .
