About Ruby

Ruby is a beautiful Belgian Malinois/Australian Shepherd mix, born January 28, 2021. She has a long, soft coat, a gentle personality, and even a signature 'smile' when she's excited. Ruby is up to date on her rabies vaccine, and her vet records (including immunization history) will be shared with her new family. Ruby loves people and generally gets along with other female dogs. She hasn't had extensive socialization outside of the home due to car sickness and discomfort with travel, but in a stable, calm environment she really shines. She will also need continued leash training, as this is an area where she could use more consistency and guidance. She was adopted as a puppy and has grown up in a family setting. While she did well with babies, Ruby has shown increasing signs of stress and anxiety around small, mobile children. For this reason, she needs a new home without young kids, where she can feel safe and relaxed. Ruby has never bitten anyone and is not aggressive, but her stress around toddlers and young children makes a quieter, child-free home the best fit. With the right environment, Ruby will thrive as a loyal, loving companion.
