*LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY - Within a 1-hour drive to Pensacola, FL* AMOS is a 15-week-old, 6.2 pound black Miniature Poodle who came to us after being surrendered by a breeder when he didn't sell. Their loss is our gain, because Amos is an absolute sweetheart! ϬAmos's WishlistϬ Playful dog friend Fenced yard for zoomies Not too much alone time AMOS is a velcro pup through and through. He wants to be with his person at all times. If he can't get to his person, he will loudly let them know that he's not happy. He loves being right where the action is and is a snuggle bug. He is not a good match for someone who is gone longer hours. Like any puppy, AMOS is still working on potty and leash training. He loves toys but needs help learning the difference between what is a toy and what is not (stuffed animals, squeaky toys, socks, towels, books, mops, peepads ... they all look like equal fun). He's playful, silly, and full of energy, often zooming around the house without quite having mastered his brakes. We want him to have a fenced yard so he can run and play to his heart's content and burn off his puppy energy. AMOS enjoys playing with his foster siblings, who tolerate his puppy antics, and he'd love another playful pup or kids in his forever home. We do not know how he would be with cats but suspect he would give them a good chase out of curiosity more than anything. One of AMOS' favorite things in the world? Water! He loves the pool, sprinklers, and even showers, although funny enough, he's not a fan of rain. At night, AMOS snuggles happily in the big bed, and during car rides he's usually fast asleep. AMOS is looking for an adopter who can give him the love, attention, and continued guidance he needs as he grows into the wonderful dog he's meant to be. He has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested and wormed and microchipped with a lifetime registration. His neuter and his rabies will be scheduled at one of our vets as soon as he is old enough and are both covered by the adoption fee. Because he has a pending vet appointment he is local adoption only. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits.
