About Donna

This is Donna. She is a female, 1 year old Mastiff/Great Pyrenees mix. Her father was a 195lb purebred Mastiff, so she is a big girl! She is very loving and playful with friends and family, and she has been great with little kids. She is good with my family's other dogs, but is very reactive to new dogs. With new people, she is cautious and can be reactive if not introduced properly. Donna is overstimulated by meeting multiple people at once which can lead to defensive behavior (barking, mild growling, posturing, etc.). We have not had any direct incidents involving people or other dogs, but her behavior and size can be intimidating. She has been in structured obedience training for the last couple months and is a well behaved dog when not in highly stimulating environments. We recently moved across the country from a large, calm property to a very small, overstimulating yard, and Donna has not adjusted to the new setting. She requires a calm environment without unpredictable situations (stray dogs or a lot of new people). We can not give Donna the environment she needs to thrive and are hoping to find her a good home.
