Name: Moonflower Age: Just shy of 4 years Breed: Siberian Husky, 57 pounds Sex: Female (spayed) Location: Snohomish, Washington Vet Info: Moonflower has been diagnosed with Uveal Dermatologic Syndrome by a Veterinary Ophthalmologist, which affects her eyes and skin. She is now completely blind. Her skin is good. She has no other health issues. She is microchipped, current with her vaccinations and HW-. Dog Info: Moonflower is a sweet girl that was adopted from another rescue two years ago. BDRA is working with the other rescue to help rehome Moonflower for her owners who can no longer take care of her due to 12 hour work schedules. They feel that this is just too long to leave Moonflower home alone. She is an indoor dog with run of the house. She is completely housebroken but not leash trained. She knows the following commands: Sit, stay, outside, inside, shake hands, get down, up and eat. She is nervous when meeting new people but warms up quickly - you should speak to her when approaching to put her at ease. She is good with men, women and children of all ages. She is also good with male and female dogs. She once snapped at another dog because the other dog was running towards her and she got startled. No skin was broken. **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them. These dogs are with their owners and are not in BDRA foster homes. We do our best to screen these dogs, but make no guarantees regarding the information posted.** Please email [email protected] if you are interested in this sweetheart. Please know that we will ask for a vet reference.
