About ELLIE

***NEEDS FOSTER or FOREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise boarding kennels Meet smart, sweet, loving, quiet 5-year-old ELLIE! For the past 2 years, ELLIE has been the 'nanny' dog to puppies when they entered her shelter in Utah. She just loves puppies! ELLIE is doing well in off-leash doggie play groups. We learned that she can jump a 5-foot fence, though. She is cat-friendly and is fine with the lobby bunny. ELLIE loves everyone and has shown no reactivity to either strangers walking by or loud noises. ELLIE is housetrained and does well in her kennel. She loves squeaky toys, but will usually destroy them. She has never destroyed any of her bedding. ELLIE walks well on leash, but will let you know when she is interested in a specific feature by helping you walk her that direction. She seems to enjoy walking in water. ELLIE would do well in a home with a secure yard and can live with kids and other dogs. ELLIE is spayed and current on vaccines (7/29/25), so ready for her forever home. ELLIE was one of the lucky Utah shelter dogs that was so good that shelter staff and volunteers went to bat for her every time her number came up until she was transported by a Boise rescue to continue her search for a forever family
