She was surrendered after her owner left a domestic violence situation and now needs a safe, stable home far from Georgia where she can finally settle in and thrive. Arya is great with people and respectful, well-balanced dogs, though she prefers not to engage in play. She's potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash. In the kennel, she's calm and collected-not hyper or overly energetic. She absolutely loves water and toys, and enjoys her independence while still bonding closely with her people. She would be good for someone who wants a more mature adult dog and skip all of the puppy training. She does not do well with cats, but she is good with kids and makes a loyal, level-headed companion. She will be available for adoption on 9/6 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin, but needs an adopter or foster to secure her spot on the transport truck. Without someone waiting for her in WI, she will be stuck at the Georgia shelter, and we really would like to find this girl a home.
