Despite the name, Mayhem is the total opposite - he's calm, gentle, and a favorite among the shelter staff. Mayhem was surrendered alongside another dog and has shown himself to be dog-friendly and a total people-lover. He walks well on leash, is quiet and respectful in his kennel, and has an all-around chill, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around. While Mayhem loves dogs and humans, he is a no for cats, so a feline-free home is a must. He's the kind of dog who adapts well to new situations and would likely settle into a home quickly with a bit of love and routine. He's ready for his second chance. Mayhem is hoping to catch a ride to Wisconsin on 9/6, but he needs a committed foster or adopter in place before he can board the transport. He can be adopted right off the van - but someone must be ready to meet him.
