URGENT!!! THIS GIRL IS YEARNING TO BE A COMPANION FOR SOMEONE!!! STANFORD, KY. (willing to drive up to 2 HRS ). 9 Y/O FEMALE GSD (DOB: ?/?/16). Her name is ' DELTA'. Background: has been with the same people her whole life, but kept isolated in an outdoor kennel. UTD on shots now but still needs Rabies Vacc. NOT Fixed. Good with kids, ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION AND SUPERVISE. NOT Good with dogs. UNKNOWN with cats. NOT House trained, has lived her whole life in an outdoor pen. NOT Crate trained, has lived her whole life and an outdoor pen. Any known medical issues?: The Person who has contacted me has taken Delta to the vet and based on the blood work results, Delta needs more tests done to know for sure if she has Cushing's Disease or not. Delta also has a Mammary Tumor that is most likely benign, but will need biopsied to know for sure. Other than that, the vet said her hips look good and she is overall healthy and in great spirits ENERGY LEVEL: HIGH. HIGH PREY DRIVE LEVEL: NO. Currently on 4 HEALTH food. Weighs 88 lbs. Good with car rides?: YES. Socialized with other dogs and/or people?: NO. The Person who has contacted me is working with Delta on this and she is doing well. She is aggressive to other dogs at the moment from being so isolated, but she thinks that this can be worked with and improved with time. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): This is a working progress. Delta has been kept isolated her entire life, but The Person who has contacted me and her husband go and get Delta and work with her and socialize her and she is getting much better. She does not like for strangers to talk to her, approach her, touch her or make eye contact with her until she has calmed down and has had time to get to know them . Once Delta gets to know you, she loves you and is a big sweet baby. Loves: sticks - Pepperonis - giving kisses - sitting on top of you - swimming - learning - walks - her person - playing tug with rope - being near her person - bones . *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: VERY SMART, BUT HAS NEVER BEEN WORKED WITH UNTIL NOW. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH):NO. *Good on a Leash?: NO. *Lovable?: VERY. *Eager and fast learner?:VERY . Delta is such a sweet girl. She does have an Abuse History of being isolated and neglected in an outdoor kennel her entire life. The Person who has contacted me was contacted by someone asking if they could help this shepherd. The Current Shepherd Parents are now elderly and sick and have given permission to find Delta a new home. Delta does not deserve to waste away in an outdoor kennel and eventually die there. She deserves an amazing life with a family that loves her. The Person who has contacted me and her husband go and get Delta out of her kennel and spend time with her and work with her. They have taken her to the vet and have grown a bond with her over these few weeks. Delta loves them and they love her. They are socializing with her and trying to train her. Delta absolutely loves being with them and learning and socializing and seeing what a normal life looks like. They have fallen in love with Delta and say she is an amazing girl. They would actually keep her if they could, but they have other dogs in the home, and they also work with other clients' dogs, and it is not a safe environment since Delta is aggressive to other dogs. They do return Delta back to her kennel when they are done spending time with her. Delta needs a family that will accept her into the home and work with her to live inside the house as a family member. Please understand that if you adopt Delta, there will need to be vet appointments to find out if she has Cushing's Disease and to also biopsy her Mammory Tumor. She needs you to be committed to her health and happiness. Delta will make an amazing companion for the right person. She needs an amazing Angel on Earth to show her what being in a family feels like. She needs someone that can give her all the love and attention that she so desperately needs and deserves .
